You Are There for Everyone… But Who Will Be There for You?
There’s a certain kind of person in this world, the one everyone calls first.
The one who listens without interrupting,
who shows up without being asked twice,
who carries other people’s pain like it’s their own.
Maybe that person is you.
You are there when someone is heartbroken.
You are there when someone is confused about life.
You are there when someone needs advice, support, or just silence with understanding.
You become their safe place.
Their comfort zone.
Their emotional home.
But tell me this…
When it’s your turn to fall apart, who do you run to?
The Invisible Weight You Carry
Being “the strong one” is exhausting.
People assume you don’t need help
just because you’ve mastered the art of hiding your own struggles.
They see your strength,
but not your silent battles.
They hear your advice,
but never ask about your pain.
And slowly, you start realizing something painful:
You are surrounded by people… yet you feel alone.
Never Expect Anything From Anyone
This is one of the hardest lessons life will teach you.
Never expect anything from anyone.
Not because people are bad,
but because expectations often lead to silent disappointments.
The more you expect,
the more it hurts when people don’t show up the way you imagined.
Learn to give without expecting.
Learn to love without depending.
Learn to stand without waiting.
Because peace begins the moment expectations end.
Not Everyone Stays When You Need Them
Life has a strange way of revealing people.
The same people you stood by, cried with, fought for… may not always show up when your world is collapsing.
Not because you didn’t deserve it
but because not everyone has the depth you have.
And that realization hurts.
It changes you.
It teaches you to give less,
to expect less,
to protect your energy a little more each time.
The Ones Who Truly Stay
But in the middle of all that disappointment, There are a few…
A very few.
Your parents
who may not always understand your struggles fully,
but will still stand beside you no matter what.
And those rare friends
the ones who don’t just listen,
but feel your silence.
The ones who notice when your “I’m okay” sounds different.
The ones who don’t disappear when things get heavy.
They don’t come in large numbers.
They never do.
But they are enough.
A Quiet Truth You Must Accept
You were never meant to be everything for everyone.
You were never meant to pour endlessly into people
who only show up when they need something.
It’s okay to step back.
It’s okay to choose yourself.
It’s okay to stop being available all the time.
Because even the strongest hearts need rest.
So, Who Will Be There for You?
Not the crowd.
Not the temporary people.
Not the ones who only remember you when they need you.
Just a few.
Your parents.
And those one or two friends who truly see you.
And most importantly
You.
Because at the end of the day,
the most important person who needs to show up for you…
is yourself.
Final Thought
Be kind. Be supportive. Be present.
But don’t lose yourself in the process of being everything for everyone.
Because you deserve the same love,
the same effort,
and the same presence…
that you so easily give to others.
