Make your heart happy without another person

Sometimes being alone sucks. there is nobody to share your happy news with or rant your heart out. you unlock your phone and there are no notifications or messages from friends or family.

On some days, it becomes harder to breathe because all you can hear is yourself and the deafening silence. your heart cries but your eyes don't give out your sadness. for those days, you need to learn how to pick your broken pieces and glue them back with love.

You need to figure out a way to make your heart happy without another person. Go on coffee dates with yourself and pick random books from the library to explore your interest. cook yourself your favorite meal occasionally and treat yourself well. Learn things you don't know but are important so that you manage on your own just fine.

When life throws hardships at you, you stumble, stop and then bounce back harder.  On those days, you realize that as long as you have your own back, you can smile through another pain, and keep that hope alive.

You cannot stop the inevitable, but you can always be prepared. besides, taking good care of yourself is just another term for self-love. so, love yourself whole and be your biggest support system so if someday, you are all alone, you don't feel lonely.

It's not the way they say that they love you....

Words are sweet.

Words are mandatory.

But I believe that love is born when they call you between their busy daily details.

When they cancel something to see you for minutes.

When they make effort to see you happy.

When they talk to you about things they never discuss with anyone else.

When they make you feel safe and surrounded.

When no one would make you feel less when they're around.

Love looks better by beautiful photos, sweet words, and little gifts. But it lives by care, safety, and effort. ❤️

Wait for Someone Kind

Wait for someone respectful, not only in the beginning stages of the relationship when things are bright and beautiful, but also when things get hard. Wait for someone who respects your boundaries and does not force you to do things that you’re not willing or ready to do.

Wait for someone who is giving and does not keep count of the good things they do for you.

Wait for someone who challenges you mentally. Someone who inspires you to be a better person.

Wait for someone who takes their time to learn and understand you.

Wait for someone who is consistent with their efforts in showing you how much they care about you.

Wait for someone who wants to be part of your world, and wants you to be part of theirs.

Wait for someone who lets you know you’re on their mind, someone who checks in on you, someone who wants you to know that they care for you.

Wait for someone who is willing to commit to you, someone who is willing to choose you.

Wait for someone who makes love feel easy, calm. Like coming home.

Wait for someone sincere. Someone who doesn’t confuse you because their actions match their words. Wait for someone honest.

Wait for someone who does their absolute best to not hurt you, someone who strives to protect your heart.

Wait for someone who will choose you over and over and over again. Love is a choice you make every single day. You deserve to find the kind of person who shows up for what you share, someone who believes in it.

Wait for someone who’s not perfect, but rather, real. Perfect is an illusion. Real is where you find something rare and special.

Wait for someone who reminds you that love was always meant to be soft.
